Jacob knew the biggest problem for this grand, tyrannical illusion to survive with intended purpose lay in the nomad humans roaming the earth, who did not have any way to hear about the “crisis” and may even be going about their normal lives. Partly this was accounted for and was deemed acceptable in as much as it was really these kinds of humans that caused the least damage the earth and would provide an excellent research sample. Some bushmen in Africa who hadn't even seen outside the jungle were the best and extreme example. The real trouble, however, lay in the groups of humans who would take advantage of the situation and potentially cause negative effects – and for this reason they Jacob had prepared a number of fail-safe options to deal with certain circumstances. Jacob adjusted the drone as it silently glided above the group of Afghanistani militia, recording each using body profiling and facial recognition software. The initial goal will be to monitor for a while, see how far they are prepared to take actions in a completely free world. Would they board airplanes and transit to America to try to take it over? Would they be happy to just settle down in their villages and lead happy, un-complicated lives? Would they take off where the rest of the world left off and begin manufacturing all over again? Endless questions flowed through Jacob's mind and although he knew it was futile, it was a necessary exercise in strategic planning.

He left the drone to its auto monitoring in its remaining 60 odd minutes of power before being replaced by multiple waiting clone drones so it, too, could return to its charge-pad to re-energise its resources and await its next mission. Jacob switched to the Thai Zone's Tamil Group-10 and watched the band of militia swarming over the city center, looting houses and shops as they moved along towards whatever it was they thought they were going to. Jacob did not expect the material possessions that were being looted to keep too much value by the time the population could return to earth, but still, it was just this kind of reckless human abandon of decency, respect and morals that lead the human race to its current circumstances...what to do with these animals, Jacob started thinking. Wait some more to see if they actually do anything that upsets Jacobs plans? He selected a higher level of monitoring for this group, too, so he could be instantly notified of any unusual activities or if they begin to stray from their usual behaviour.
