This was a meticulous operation, with the thieves going as far as painting the bench on the pathway out front of the jewelry store to keep people from sitting near the store entrance. Their prize was the famous Golden Dancer – a jewel-coated gold statue dating back to King Tutt. The intended recipient of this had no intention of selling it – he wanted its return to its rightful owners.
